2025 Grosse Pointe History Day was a great success!
The Grosse Pointe community has a deep and significant local heritage, consisting of people, places, and events, which are compiled and shared among historical organizations, schools, civil and religious organizations, museums, and other community assets. Through tours, featured exhibits, archival material, field trips, and other programming, children, youth, and adults have access to both formal and informal learning experiences at each institution sharing Grosse Pointe’s history and influence in the world.
The Grosse Pointe Learning Collaborative brings together these institutions and assets to collaborate and build local learning experiences for learners of all ages. The Cooperative also serves as a model for other communities on how institutions can collaborate to maximize the impact of their educational resources.
Our Goals
Create a collaborative of institutions in and around Grosse Pointe
Curate a “card catalog:” raise awareness of what is available in our community and share those resources
Facilitate affinity groups to discuss potential partnerships and share information and ideas
Provide shared professional development and programming experiences
