Students and other learners can:
Photograph beautiful, historic, or unique trees
Interview neighbors about them
Place them on our map
Students and other learners can:
Walk their block
Count where trees exist - and where they don't
Identify "empty spaces" where trees used to be
This creates real data the community can use to:
Plan planting
Prioritize neighborhoods
Track canopy loss over time
Students and other learners can:
Help plant new trees (especially during community sales or events)
Water and care for young trees
Advocate: "If we remove one, we replace one"
Learn the stories of the trees in the Grosse Pointe community, as told by our community members and experts. In addition to these stories, you can:
Present to city councils or school boards
Create posters, videos, or social media campaigns
Explain why trees matter to future generations
